  • No quality loss for resizing up; smart compression for scaling down

Overview

Uploading oversized images wastes storage space, slows down your website, and can break layouts that expect specific dimensions. Conversely, images that are too small look pixelated and unprofessional. Our Image Resizer tool lets you resize any image to exact pixel dimensions or a percentage of its original size — instantly, in your browser. You can set a custom width and height, or use preset dimensions for common platforms: 1080×1080 for Instagram posts, 1280×720 for YouTube thumbnails, 800×600 for email images, and many more. The tool maintains aspect ratio by default (to prevent distortion) but you can unlock proportional resizing to set independent width and height. Output in JPEG, PNG, or WebP format with your chosen quality level. This tool is used constantly by e-commerce sellers preparing product images for Amazon or Flipkart (which have strict dimension requirements), designers creating consistent image sets, bloggers optimising images for their CMS, and anyone needing to resize images without installing heavy software.

Frequently Asked Questions

For full-width hero images, 1920px wide is standard. For blog content images, 800–1200px wide is typical. Use WebP format and compress to under 200 KB for best performance.
No. Upscaling (making an image larger than its original size) degrades quality. You cannot add resolution that was not there. Always resize down for best results.
Amazon requires at least 1000px on the longest side (1500px recommended) with a white background. Flipkart requires 1080×1080 px for catalogue images.
Resizing to a smaller size with PNG output preserves quality (lossless). JPEG resizing involves some quality loss. WebP offers excellent quality at smaller file sizes.
Currently the tool processes one image at a time. Batch resizing is on our feature roadmap. For batch processing, tools like GIMP or ImageMagick handle multiple files.
